Policies & Service Information
Estimates and Approval of Work
When an estimate or proposal is provided, work will begin only after the customer has approved the proposed scope of work. Approval may be provided through a signed proposal, electronic signature, email, text message, customer portal, or another form of written authorization.
If conditions discovered during the job require changes to the approved scope, additional labor, hardware, or materials may be required. We will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer and receive approval before completing work outside the original scope.
Special-Order Hardware and Equipment
Certain locks, door hardware, safes, access control equipment, electronic components, software licenses, and custom-configured products must be ordered specifically for an individual customer or project.
Special-order, custom-configured, non-stock, manufacturer-built, or project-specific items may require payment in full before Texas Master Locksmiths and Security Solutions, LLC places the order.
Once hardware, equipment, materials, or software licenses have been purchased for an approved project, those items become the property of the customer. Purchased items are non-refundable and non-returnable, even if the customer later cancels, delays, postpones, modifies, or elects not to proceed with the installation.
Products determined by the manufacturer to be defective will be handled according to the applicable manufacturer warranty.
Customer-Supplied Hardware
Texas Master Locksmiths and Security Solutions, LLC may install hardware supplied by the customer when the product is appropriate for the requested application.
Customer-supplied products are not covered by our hardware warranty. We are not responsible for manufacturer defects, missing components, compatibility problems, programming limitations, incorrect product selection, or failures associated with customer-provided equipment.
Installation labor remains billable even when customer-supplied hardware cannot be installed or does not operate as expected. Additional troubleshooting, modifications, return visits, or replacement work may result in additional labor and material charges.
Scheduling and Project Delays
Appointments and project schedules are based on technician availability, the expected scope of work, and the availability of required hardware and materials.
Estimated completion dates may be affected by manufacturer delays, distributor backorders, shipping interruptions, discontinued products, severe weather, building access restrictions, permit requirements, or other conditions beyond our reasonable control.
If a customer postpones installation after project materials have been purchased, the customer remains responsible for the cost of those materials. Extended postponements may also result in storage or handling charges and may require the installation to be rescheduled according to current technician availability.
Access to the Work Area
Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the areas where work will be performed. This may include arranging access to doors, offices, tenant spaces, electrical rooms, gates, roofs, network equipment, control panels, or other secured areas.
Delays caused by unavailable keys, inaccessible work areas, occupied spaces, hazardous conditions, unavailable customer representatives, or other access limitations may result in additional labor charges or rescheduling.
Existing and Concealed Conditions
Locksmith and security work is often performed on existing doors, frames, locks, safes, access control systems, electrical systems, wiring, and previously installed equipment.
Texas Master Locksmiths and Security Solutions, LLC is not responsible for pre-existing damage, worn components, concealed conditions, undocumented wiring, structural defects, code violations, prior installation errors, or other existing conditions that affect the installation or operation of the requested work.
If an unforeseen condition requires additional labor, hardware, repair, or modification, we will make reasonable efforts to explain the condition and obtain approval before proceeding.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon receipt unless different payment terms have been approved in writing. Customers with approved commercial payment terms must remit payment according to the due date stated on the invoice or service agreement.
Deposits, advance hardware payments, and other required project payments must be received before applicable hardware is ordered or work is scheduled. Past-due balances may be subject to service charges, collection costs, or other remedies described in the applicable agreement.
Warranty Information
Texas Master Locksmiths and Security Solutions, LLC stands behind the quality of our workmanship. Labor warranties are provided according to the terms stated in the applicable estimate, proposal, invoice, or service agreement.
Hardware and equipment warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty requirements, exclusions, and approval process.

- Normal wear and tear
- Abuse, misuse, vandalism, or accidental damage
- Unauthorized repair, alteration, or programming
- Improper use or lack of required maintenance
- Power surges, electrical issues, network failures, or utility interruptions
- Weather, water intrusion, natural disasters, or other outside conditions

Service performed outside the applicable warranty may be billed at our current labor and material rates.
Testing and Acceptance of Completed Work
Whenever practical, completed work will be tested and demonstrated to the customer or an authorized representative. Customers should notify us promptly if they believe the completed work does not match the approved scope or is not operating properly.
Use of the installed or serviced hardware or system constitutes acceptance of the work, subject to any applicable workmanship or manufacturer warranty.
Restricted and Patented Key Systems
Restricted and patented key systems may require documented authorization before additional keys or cylinders can be produced. Key duplication is governed by the manufacturer’s policies and the authorization records associated with the system.
Once keys, credentials, codes, or access permissions have been delivered to the customer, the customer is responsible for managing access and maintaining appropriate key and credential control. Texas Master Locksmiths and Security Solutions, LLC is not responsible
for unauthorized duplication, sharing, or use by third parties.
Commercial and Access Control Projects
Commercial security and access control projects may involve multiple manufacturers, software platforms, licensing requirements, network connections, electrical systems, fire or life-safety requirements, and coordination with other contractors.
Unless specifically included in the approved scope, the customer is responsible for internet service, network configuration, electrical power, permits, inspections, drawings, third-party subscriptions, and work performed by other trades.
Access control systems are intended to assist customers with managing access. No lock, key system, electronic system, safe, or security product can guarantee that unauthorized access, theft, loss, or other security incidents will never occur.
